There is a dead simple way to find out if your approach to exercise and diet is the right one for you. Ask yourself this one simple question: Does your body look dramatically better than it did 3 months ago? It&#8217;s easy to get stuck in a rut. If you spend any amount of time in the same gym day after day, week after week, as the months go by you start to get familiar with the people coming out of the spin class, and the rest of the crowd that frequents the weight room or the cardio theatre. What I noticed back then, is that even the people I would see at the gym everyday looked exactly the same month in month out. There was no change. We know that it possible to make visible changes to your body in just 3 months. If you are consistent for a whole year, you can create an outstanding physique with massive improvements in your health and performance. So here is the kicker. If you have been exercising for years and you don&#8217;t have the body of your dreams, if you haven&#8217;t made dramatic changes, then what you are doing is not working. Maybe it&#8217;s time to take an honest look at how hard you are pushing during your workouts, what your diet looks like and how consistent your training is. If you have been spending 45 minutes a day on the elliptical trainer for the last 4 years and you look the same (or worse) than when you started you are long overdue for a change. People in general don&#8217;t like change. They tend to resist it. It makes them uncomfortable. Easier to go to the gym for an <b>&#8230;</b></p>

There seems to be a lot of confusion about stretching. We all seem to not have enough time in the day for all that we need to do. So it is logical that most of us skip stretching. But that is a big mistake. I know it seems counter intuitive but more time not working out intensely will get you to your goals faster. You will become more flexible and lower your risk for injury. You will be able to stay more consistent to your work out schedule thus obtaining better results. The proper sequence of an intense work out should be •Warm up •Light stretching •40 50 minutes of intense resistance training •Intense stretching the last ½ of the intense resistance session •Cool down Warm Up- It is very important to transition into an intense work out with 10 minutes of a low level cardio vascular activity. Some modes of exercise that work well are jumping jacks, jump rope, martial art kicks, squat thrust, or any full body callisthenic type exercise. However my favorite mode is power walking on the treadmill. Starting speed is nice and slow. I (I am 59) start at 3.5 mph and increase the speed by .1 mph every minute. What Are The Best Celebrity Workouts? Hey guys, I&#8217;m Dana Ward for Clevver TV coming to you from our Beverly Hills studio. Everyone knows that being a member of the young Hollywood elite is tough work and having an in-shape body is part of the job. With bikini season in full swing we&#8217;re showing you how your favorite stars stay in tip-top shape. Disney cutie Brenda Song hates strict workout regimens and says that her latest obsession takes the drag out of heading to the gym. Her new fav workout is Bikram yoga, which is basically doing yoga in a heated room to get maximum results. After a hard session, Brenda says that she and her mom usually head out for some ice cream. Not sure about that part, but it does sound like a good reward. Other young ladies like Ashley Tisdale, Brittany Snow, Vanessa Hudgens and our favorite girl Samantha Droke like to hit the gym together for a new craze called Piloxing-it&#8217;s combination of Pilates and Boxing and we hear that it burns up to 1000 calories per workout session-wow! Vanessa&#8217;s boyfriend Zac Efron didn&#8217;t get his new muscles from just sitting around. In fact, he does three hour sessions at the gym with a trainer where he focuses on a combo of cardio, free weights and weight machines. He also sticks to a healthy diet of high protein, low carb foods to help him build muscle quicker&#8211;and it seems to be working.
